Section One Troop Levels
In section one of the form, you will select the radio buttons for your troop levels. Your main account should be T9, but in the case of an alt that has recently opened the next level of guardsmen or specialists, you will need to check the boxes for the corresponding troop types that you are missing. Do not select the boxes for the troops that you have opened.
In section two, you will enter the total strength against epics. This will include Hercules attributes, Hercules star bonuses, total bonuses for Ragnarok gear pieces and the total bonus for the Ghostflame Lantern artifact if you are using it. If you have Cyanite gems from the seasonal kingdom, they will need to be entered here as well.
You can manually add up these bonuses, or capture the number from a battle report from the same conditions.
Section Three Leadership troops
Next, you will enter the strength and health bonuses from your leadership troops. You will notice that this section only requires guardsmen melee, ranged and mounted, as well as only specialist melee troops.
Flying units will be entered in another section, and the calculator only needs melee specialists to determine whether a captain or piece of gear elevates guardsmen over specialists, or vice versa.
All eight boxes must be filled in this section.
Section Four Monsters
In the Monsters section, you will need the strength and health bonuses of your melee monsters (Kraken). Do not fill the other row.
Section Five Flying
In the Flying section, you will record the strength and health bonuses of your Corax troops. Do not fill the other two rows.
If you are working on an alt that does not have G8 corax opened, fill the Vulture Row instead, and again leave the other two rows blank.
Section Six Special Flying
In the Special Flying section, fill in the strength and health bonuses for your Royal Lions. Leave the other row blank.
If using an alt that is S7 or below, fill the Griffin row and leave the Royal Lions blank.
Section Seven Mercenaries
For the Mercenaries section, enter the strength and health bonuses for your Epic Monster Hunters.
Section Eight Catapults
In the Catapults section, enter the strength and health bonuses of your Josephine units.
Section Nine Global Offsets
Leave the Offsets row blank.
Section Ten General
In the top of the General Section, you will enter your leadership and dominance numbers on the left, and you will enter how many levels of guardsmen, specialists and monsters on the right.
The EMH limit field can be used if you would like to set a maximum limit on them, otherwise leave it blank.
If you are T9, make sure to check the box to Add E9.
Section Eleven General Submit
In the bottom of the General section, on the left side, select the radio button for Arachne or Jormungandr if you are attacking them, otherwise select Other.
On the right side of this section, make sure all four boxes are checked. Be sure to check the Show attack design box.
After double checking that everything needed is complete, press Submit.
Form Completed
Attack Design Output
The attack design output will show you how your battle will play out if you select the "Show Attack Design" checkbox.
It will show you the total damage generated from your monsters and silver troops. Mercenary levels are limits, so they are not included in the output.
The gold to revive does not account for your temple troop revival cost decrease, so it is not a real number, but the damage per gold number is consistent, so it can be used as a key performance indicator.
Troop Numbers Output
The troop numbers output shows the calculated attack numbers for monsters and silver troops. These numbers are exact calculations, not maximums, so these are the actual numbers you need to use in order to preserve your attack/death order.
Mercenary Limit Output
The additional limit damage numbers are maximums. You can send any number of mercenaries up to the stack maximums.
About the Strength and Health Bonuses
Strength and health bonuses cannot be taken from the army screen. They must come from a battle report. This is because when you look at your army screen, the bonuses listed are being effected by your hero, and all three captains currently in your city. If you take the numbers from there, your attack will fail.
In order to get your correct strength and health bonuses, they need to come from a battle report using the same captain or hero, wearing the same armor and artifact that you plan to use. All bonuses should be on as well.
When completing the Leadership Troops box (section 3 above) you can also grab the strength against epic monsters from one of the silver troops from the battle report. This saves you from having to add them up.
How to Quickly get the Bonus Numbers
Sometimes situations arise where I do not have an attack solution ready. A great example would be when Arachne comes along and I want to level a specific captain, maybe a captain that I don't fight with often.
In the interest of time, I will usually load up the captains I want to send, make sure they are wearing their correct armor and have their correct artifacts, and all bonuses and premium set.
From there, I setup an attack on the epic with 1 each G8 melee, archer, rider and Corax, 1 each of S8 royal lion and melee, 1 Josephine II, 1 Epic Monster Hunter and 1 M8 Kraken. I record the leadership and dominance numbers at this point and send them to the epic, and I have a BR that contains all of the information I need.
The numbers that we are entering are strength and health bonuses, not strength and health, so the G8 and G9 numbers are the same, as are the S8/S9 and M8/M9 values.
How to Save Attack Configurations for Quick Access
The final time saver I will share with you is the answer for all of the people that say that it takes too long to use a stack calculator.
TotalCalculator.org is a php file. For the non-programmers out there, php is a server side scripting language, where information is fed to the server and a script runs on the server, and returns output. Most websites that use php are form based.
The input parameters for the form are assigned key:value pairs through the URL, so after you enter the required information and press submit, the form is returned with the information you were looking for, in our case the stack calculation, and the URL contains the key:value pair parameters.
If you save the URL to a text file, you can simply copy and paste it into the web browser, and the output is returned with no need to enter any information into the form.
If you keep a word file on your desktop, with your captains listed, you can simply save the URL's for each, and update them as needed (when leveling up captains, hero or artifact; changing armor, etc.)
